My Approach to Therapy:

I enjoy applying evidence-based interventions that complement your values, preferences, and goals throughout our collaboration. I use person-centered approaches to help you feel seen and heard, as well as solution-focused/coaching techniques to fulfill your problem-solving needs and instill hope. I integrate empowerment-focused approaches into sessions, as well as EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic experiencing techniques to promote healing, visceral safety, and posttraumatic growth. I also apply psychodynamic approaches to help you discern how the past fuels your present suffering and add a dash of acceptance and commitment approaches to benefit anyone who struggles to navigate the never-ending bumps in the road of life. Last but not least, I am aware that your lived experiences and challenges are distinct, as well as strongly influenced by environmental aspects and the many intersections of your social identity.
