About the Event

InnoPsych and Health Equity, Advocacy, & Liberation in Film (H.E.A.L in Film) presents The Color of Care Film Screening and discussion

Overview of H.E.A.L in Film

H.E.A.L in Film, an initiative of InnoPsych, uses the power of storytelling through film to educate and advocate for health equity and improved health outcomes for communities of color and other underserved groups. By sharing our stories, we aim to activate our communities to advocate for change and to promote collective healing and liberation.

About The Color of Care

Produced by Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions and directed by Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning director Yance Ford, The Color of Care chronicles how people of color suffer from systemically substandard healthcare in the U.S. and how COVID-19 exposed the tragic consequences of this inequity. Using moving personal testimony, expert interviews, and disturbing data, the film reveals the impact of racism on health, serving as an urgent warning of what must be done to save lives.
