Prioritizing Mental Health & Reducing Racial Disparities In Healthcare

Getting the mental health care you need can be a time-consuming, exhausting and downright scary process. Having a trusting relationship with a provider can make all the difference – but not everyone has the benefit of having mental healthcare providers that look like them or speaks their language. In this session moderated by Jeneé Osterheldt and panelists: Dr. Kevin Simon, Susan Wilkinson, and Dr. Jackman, we will examine the barriers that prevent individuals from underrepresented groups from entering the medical field or seeking mental health treatment, and propose solutions to guide the next generation.
