My Approach to Therapy:
My approach to therapy is primarily psychodynamic and existential, with an emphasis on helping clients better understand themselves, their relationships, and the experiences that have shaped who they are today. Together, we explore recurring patterns, unresolved experiences, and the ways the past may continue to influence your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and choices in the present.
I also believe therapy can be a space to explore some of life’s bigger questions—identity, meaning, purpose, relationships, change, loss, and what it means to live authentically. Rather than simply focusing on reducing symptoms, I want to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and how you want to move through the world.
My style is collaborative, conversational, and tailored to each person. I integrate elements of person-centered therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques when helpful, while remaining mindful of how culture, family, identity, and lived experience shape the way we understand ourselves and our relationships.
