My Approach to Therapy:
Therapy helps in understanding yourself, your relationships with others, and unexpected life experiences that may be difficult. Together, and at your pace, we can help understand these patterns, feelings, and lived experiences, as well as acknowledge what societal loadings may impact you and your experience of the world. I believe the more you cultivate self-understanding the better equipped you may feel to choose how you want to continue building your life and get relief from your symptoms. I’m here to be on this journey with you to get you to where you want to be in your life—mentally, emotionally, and in your career and relationships.
I work from an integrative, relational psychodynamic perspective with a multicultural, intersectional feminist lens focusing on issues of identity development, relational and racial trauma, sexual assault, immigration, and mood disorders. I have worked with youth and adults providing individual, group, couples, and family therapy as well as assessments.
