My Approach to Therapy:

Everyone is chasing happiness, an emotion that comes and goes, but perhaps what you are truly seeking is a state of peace. Making peace with our past and present while maintaining hope for the future may seem impossible right now, but that is where I can assist. I am trained and certified in EMDR, DBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed CBT, and EFT, which are evidence-based psychotherapies to effectively treat trauma, mood, and personality disorders; addiction/recovery; and recidivism. My diverse, professional experience includes the Yale University Juvenile Justice Program, BlueSky Behavioral Health (Danbury, CT), The Nizhoni Center (a Native American treatment center in Gallup, NM), and state and Federal Bureau of Prisons halfway houses. My goal is to guide you in building healthy coping skills as we work toward addressing the root causes of your distress, so you not only have the right tools at your disposal but also a greater understanding of your mind and body. I warmly welcome those of all faiths and sexual orientations. It all starts with a conversation, in whatever form that you are comfortable with.
