My Approach to Therapy:

My treatment approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) which explores the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behavior. We all have patterns of thinking and behavior that can negatively impact how we feel. I will help you notice these pattens and develop more adaptive thoughts and behaviors to improve how you feel, and how you are coping with stressors. Some things we might work on include: Decreasing symptoms of depression or anxiety, increasing your ability to cope with stressors, meeting personal goals, improving communication, improving confidence in your abilities, coping with challenging emotions and experiences, balancing your mood. I work with a variety of people, many of whom are diverse with regard to race or ethnicity, sexual identity and religion.
