My Approach to Therapy:

I have use evidence-based treatments—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Integrated Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT)—to treat anxiety, depression, grief, insomnia and trauma in people from diverse backgrounds. In addition, I have helped people work through life adjustments and transitions in relationships. Throughout your therapy I integrate best practices for clinical care with individuals' goals, aiming to cultivate healthy coping in the long-term. Mindfulness techniques also play a prominent role in my work to reinforce a presence of mind while facing life's questions and challenges. I have advanced training and clinical competence in mental health concerns for LGBTQ+-identifying folks and people of color. I also have years of clinical experience working with entrepreneurs, researchers, educators, first responders, and people with a history of psychiatric care. Choosing to engage in psychotherapy is courageous and deliberate work. Like all work, it is worthy of a safe space—that safety is something I strive to sustain in our time together as we work through and towards your goals.
