My Approach to Therapy:

I see therapy as a partnership between the client and myself to focus on the initial concerns of the client. I believe in incorporating the client's perception of themselves looking at their gender, age, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation and identification and their world view. I urge clients to access complementary health resources in addition to the psychotherapy. I recommend clients try acupuncture, massage therapy, psycho-ed groups, prayer, explore their spirituality and also mindfulness and meditation. I provide individual psychotherapy, primarily CBT, but am eclectic depending on the needs and issues of the client. I also do couples work and family therapy as needed.
