My Approach to Therapy:
I approach therapy through a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens, recognizing that each individual carries unique lived experiences that shape their emotional world. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore both challenges and strengths.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and to build practical tools for managing anxiety, depression, and everyday stressors. At the same time, I integrate humanistic principles—honoring the whole person, their values, and their capacity for growth and resilience.
I tailor the therapeutic process to each individual’s needs and goals. I believe healing happens not just through insight, but also through connection and compassion.
My work is grounded in a deep respect for cultural identity, family systems, and the complex intersections of mental health, race, and lived experience. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and aim to foster a collaborative, affirming relationship that supports both emotional healing and personal transformation.
