My Approach to Therapy:

My goal as a therapist is to support my clients through a deep commitment to their stories, attuning to what is consciously and unconsciously communicated through words, body and emotions. I am a second generation, bi-cultural, person of color, and I see the therapy space as creative, warm, and hopeful, and aim to make it a place where you feel heard, challenged, and encouraged.
My client-centered approach emphasizes your experience in the present moment and also highlights our relational dynamic as a rich resource for exploration and insight. As an integrative therapist, I draw from several therapeutic models, ranging from those that take a deeper look at your history and emotional processing to approaches that are more skills-based. The process of therapy is nuanced and experimental, so we will work together to discern the most effective approach to best understand and address your unique circumstance.
My training and experience is varied, spanning community, educational and hospital
settings. I have worked with issues covering identity and belonging, life transitions and unexpected changes, work/school pressures and burnout, relationships, anxiety and stress, depression, addictions, and trauma healing.
