My Approach to Therapy:
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply rooted in the belief that healing happens through connection, both with ourselves and others. I strive to create an affirming space where clients feel safe to explore their emotions, identities, and life experiences with compassion and curiosity.
I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs. ACT helps clients build psychological flexibility and move toward a values-based life, even in the presence of difficult thoughts or feelings. EFT, especially in my work with couples, supports the strengthening of emotional bonds by helping partners identify and shift interactional patterns rooted in attachment needs. EMDR allows us to gently and effectively process trauma, enabling clients to integrate past experiences without being overwhelmed by them in the present.
Whether we’re working through anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, or relationship challenges, my goal is to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with their strengths and deepen their sense of meaning and belonging.
