My Approach to Therapy:

I have a special interest in issues of diversity and inclusion and exploring clients' unique experiences and relationships with their intersecting identities (e.g., race, ethnicity, Deaf/hard of hearing/child of deaf adults, religion, gender, sexuality). My particular areas of interest include trauma/PTSD, LGBTQIA* identity, depression/anxiety, major life transitions, college mental health, emotional regulation, multiculturalism and immigration. I have experience and training in psychological assessments, individual, group, and family therapy.
I provide services in American Sign Language, spoken English and Spanish. I tailor my approaches based on the presenting client’s and/or family's individualized needs and strengths in order to promote social and emotional health and well-being. I have training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). In addition, I complete ADHD evaluations to provide diagnostic clarification and subsequent recommendations for the home, school and/or treatment settings.
