My Approach to Therapy:

As a therapist of color, I have experience identifying and addressing interpersonal and structural-based trauma. I seek to better understand how trauma, especially racial and sexual trauma, manifests in our bodies. My approach to healing work is holistic and grounded in a deep sense of care and humility and anti-oppressive values. I believe that the sharing of oneself in the therapeutic space requires a level of vulnerability and risk-taking that should be protected and empowered.
My practice is associated with the Critical Therapy Center, a liberation-oriented psychodynamic group practice committed to collective healing. I work individually with young people (ages 16 and up) and adults in the NY area. I work with patients addressing a range of issues, including: everyday stressors, anxiety and depression, peer relationships, family conflicts, sexual abuse, and trauma and PTSD.
