My Approach to Therapy:

***Workshops Only*** I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist, as well as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Psychology Department at William James College. I am also the Associate Director of Diversity in the Center for Faculty Development, Director of the Black Mental Health Graduate Academy, and a program administrator in the Center for Multicultural and Global Mental Health. I am trained in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Child-Parent Psychotherapy. Furthermore, I am a certified IPT trainer, who for 5 years, provided consultation/training in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ IPT for Depression Training Program. In addition, I am a former federally-funded researcher and consultant on racial/ethnic disparities in the mental health field. I have authored articles and reports on disparities in heart disease, child abuse reporting, depression treatment outcomes, high-risk sexual behaviors and youth mental health. Finally, I am not currently providing clinical services, however, I am available to conduct workshops/trainings on implicit racial biases, disparities, and diversity in the mental health field at colleges, community mental health agencies, and court clinics.
