My Approach to Therapy:

I approach my clients through an integration of multicultural and person-centered theories. Additionally, I am trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and brief psychodynamic therapy. Furthermore, I study and practice elements of contemporary theories, such as Positive Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy. My therapy expertise includes cultural adjustment, diversity, equity and social justice concerns; academic and vocational development; relationship to self, self-esteem, authenticity and self-worth; identity and values system; family of origin concerns; multigenerational trauma; interpersonal difficulties and attachment issues in teen/adult relationships; loneliness and disconnection to others; general executive functioning, attention, motivation and communication skills coaching; parent coaching; depressive disorders, and anxiety related disorders.
