My Approach to Therapy:
My specialized focus is on helping adolescents, young adults, and families navigate emotional and behavioral challenges. My work centers on issues such as family conflict, emotional dysregulation, self-injurious behavior, suicidality, and complex custody dynamics. Drawing from extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and play-based modalities, I tailor each treatment plan to meet the developmental and relational needs of my clients. My therapeutic style is warm, direct, and insight-driven—balancing empathy with accountability to support lasting progress. In addition to individual counseling and group therapy, I offer anger management, psychoeducational, and skills training classes to provide real-world coping mechanisms and promote holistic resilience. I have also pursued advanced training to support clients facing complex emotional and behavioral struggles, including anger management, risk assessment, risk management, and relapse prevention.
My approach goes beyond credentials—it’s my time spent in the room with clients that has shaped my counseling style the most. I have a deep interest in helping others explore, grow, heal, reconnect with self, and relate to others.
