My Approach to Therapy:

The quality of the therapeutic relationship is key to create a safe enough space to begin to hear your pain, hold the complexity of your story, and begin to integrate all parts of you into a coherent narrative. I invite you into a collaborative process that will not only reduce your current symptoms but also help you make meaning of your whole story. We will discover your strengths and joys as well as growing edges and pain. This will lead to a greater sense of being alive and an ability to be more resilient to life’s ups and downs.

My specialty is working with people whose pain is made more complex by intersecting identities (Religion/Spirituality, Culture/Race/Ethnicity, LGBTQ+, immigration). I also have specializations working with emerging adults, multiracial people, helping professionals, trauma, and men.

I provide both short term and long term treatment. The basis of my treatment is relational psychodynamic but I pull on a number of theories including emotion focused therapy, internal family systems, somatic theories, and acceptance commitment therapy.
