My Approach to Therapy:

"Do you ever feel anxious, confused or challenged by relationships, family life and the direction of your career? I specialize in helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety and other sources of emotional pain, such as relationship concerns, life transitions, loss of loved ones, physical and emotional abuse. My approach to therapy is tailored to the needs of each individual client. I provide a safe supportive, and empathic environment to help clients develop emotional resilience and obtain valuable insight into their own minds.
My extensive experience with diverse populations has made me particularly attuned to issues related to identity. My aim is to facilitate the development of clients’potentialities, so that they can see themselves as agents of their their own lives, rather than helpless victims of their life circumstances.
My theoretical background includes psychodynamic psychotherapy and evidence-based techniques that have been proven effective for patients with complex trauma. I have worked in a variety of settings in outpatient mental health and supportive housing in New York City, both in the capacity of psychotherapist and clinical supervisor."
