My Approach to Therapy:

People often turn to Dr. Crawford when they or their child or adolescent is facing significant mood or anxiety disorders, or school and work related crises, and they want a Boston psychiatrist who understands both clinical complexity and the realities of schools, the workplace, public systems, and stigma. She is especially well suited for Black women and other Black professionals seeking care for themselves or their children, who are navigating racism, sexism, workplace stress, and caregiving demands. Parents, caregivers, and individual adults come to her for psychiatric care that looks carefully at school/work supports, public resources, and how to move through serious mental health concerns over time in a way that protects both themselves and/or their children. Caring and supporting others starts with caring for ourselves.
