My Approach to Therapy:

I am a licensed psychologist with a specialization in children and adolescent mental health as well as immigrant mental health. I always approach my work in a culturally sensitive and informed manner and tailor my techniques to my patient's needs, presenting concerns, and personality. Furthermore, I view my role as an emotional healer whose main responsibility is to assist my patients in connecting the pieces of the puzzle of their life in order to access a clearer picture and understanding of themselves and what has contributed to their emotional challenges, which consequently will allow them to achieve emotional healing, self-awareness, insight, and personal growth. Treatment approaches that are part of my counseling toolkit are psychodynamic psychotherapy to help understand the root of patients' clinical issues and cognitive behavioral therapy to assist patients in enhancing their ability to manage their symptoms with a foundation of multicultural counseling where patients' ethnic identity, racial identity, gender identity, sexual orientation, as well as the systems around them that are impacting them are taken into great consideration to further inform conceptualization of their clinical issues and their treatment.
