I aim to foster an empathic environment and an effective collaboration with my patients so they can better examine conflicts arising from longstanding patterns of behavior. As a psychodynamic psychiatrist, insight-oriented psychotherapy is at the center of my practice. While I do prescribe medications when indicated, they are an augmentation to the psychotherapeutic work we do together. By keeping the therapy and medication within the same doctor-patient relationship, we can monitor the effects of both in real time and adjust accordingly.
