My Approach to Therapy:
As Socrates once said, “An unexamined life is not worth living.” I believe the secret to a happy life depends on the depth of our understanding of ourselves, our relationships with others, and our roles in this world. Together, we will help you gain a better understanding of your conscious and unconscious thoughts and emotions. We will examine your behavior patterns, learn coping skills, and develop emotion regulation skills.
My approach to therapy is fairly eclectic. Counseling is not one-size-fits-all. What works for one person may not work for the other. So I tailor my sessions to each of my client’s needs, drawing from the strengths of various therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic, Existential, Humanistic, REBT (which I am certified by the Albert Ellis Institute.) I also love incorporating ancient wisdom from eastern philosophy, western philosophy, and spirituality.
