My Approach to Therapy:

"I am dedicated to empowering you by first and foremost showing you unconditional support. Once this relationship of trust is formed, we can work toward healing old wounds and discovering your inherent self-worth. I enjoy working with adults throughout the life cycle and I have a passion for working with couples. My goal is to help you identify and remove obstacles so you can successfully move through life’s many transitions. Therapy can be difficult at times as we will explore the issues that are preventing you from living life to its full potential. My background is in crisis intervention, which includes working with clients that have experienced suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, or domestic violence. Thus, I feel well qualified in treating those with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, self-injury, and/or relationship issues.
I believe my calm nature and therapeutic use of humor will make this process easier. I will help you identify the negative thoughts/beliefs that can lead to distressing emotions. I also like to incorporate mindfulness practice and meditation to help with the therapeutic process. I look forward to meeting you and helping you through this journey we call life."
