Recognizing the importance of finding a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed therapist who understands the impact of systemic oppression on our lives, I am committed to breaking down the stigmas and stereotypes surrounding mental health care in Black and Brown communities. I take a relational, cultural, and compassionate approach to therapy, providing a safe and accepting space for individuals who have experienced trauma from racially charged interactions and experiences. I openly discuss race, sexuality, spirituality, and their impact on our daily lives with clients, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Processing Therapy to help clients develop sustainable, healthy habits that will improve their self-concept, holistic health, and sense of liberation.
