My Approach to Therapy:

My practice, pays lots of attention to clients' environments, where they are coming from, how they make choices, and their innate personality. I use CBT and Relational Cultural Therapy(RCT). CBT as a form of therapy is active, collaborative, goal-oriented and based on cognitive model. RCT posits that the nature of a person's relationships deeply influence his psychological development across life span. My clients and I will work together to understand the role that our thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviors play in our current struggles. In RCT, relationship is at the core of growth. It considers the role of culture within the context of a person's circumstance, placing particular importance to ethical consideration and multiculturalism. The goal is to work towards building relationship that will empower the individual, families, and groups to accomplish the long sort for mental health, wellness, education and career goals. My professional belief is that these goals are at the core of regaining individual and or group power, that is necessary for equilibrium and empathy. These tenets are at the core of therapy success and will mend disconnections, rebuild therapeutic Relationships, self-worth, and therapeutic environments.
