My Approach to Therapy:

I specialize in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD, and related disorders in adolescents and young adults. Additionally, I work with clients looking to effectively navigate current life stressors (e.g., work challenges, interpersonal relationships, transitions). I have experience working in outpatient, hospital, and both school and college settings. I primarily utilize a cognitive behavioral approach in my work with clients and frequently incorporate empirically-supported interventions such as exposure and response prevention (ERP) and acceptance-based strategies. By emphasizing the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, clients will gain greater insight into their concerns and learn techniques for managing their anxiety and other life stressors. I use a collaborative approach, working with clients to better understand their anxieties or challenges and encouraging them to become their own therapists over time while achieving their goals.
