My Approach to Therapy:

I am an Asian-American (Nisei Japanese) licensed independent clinical social worker focused on exploring psycho-social-spiritual healing. I value curiosity, reflection, creativity and humor as pathways of healing. I invite individuals to co-create an open, liberated space for their wellness and mental health journeys. I offer an integrative approach within an anti-oppressive framework, rooted in social justice and culturally-responsive practice. I strive to bring an intersectional lens to understanding how anxiety, depression, stress and trauma-related concerns are impacted by systems of oppression. I am passionate about serving 2SLGBTQIA+ gender diverse people and communities of color, and attuned to how racism, classism, sexism, homophobia, ableism and social stigma are experienced by individuals navigating the world. I look forward to connecting with you to see if we would be a good fit!
