My Approach to Therapy:

I strive for finding ways to continuously decolonize therapy. I believe that power and influence in therapy is fluid between a practitioner and client. Because of this belief, my approach begins with relationship building and co-creating trust with mental health services.
My style of therapy is heavily influenced by Narrative Therapy. Narrative Therapy allows me to honor and explore the stories and experiences of my clients as well as the realities, barriers, and challenges they face daily. I work to strengthen their relationship with power & influence while validating the fatigue and exhaustion that they experience.
The work I do outside of a one on one therapeutic space is centered around social justice, equity, intersectionality, and challenging dominant & oppressive narratives. I explore these spaces specifically centered around marginalized communities, individuals of color, Latinx populations, the LGBTQIA+ population, immigrant populations, specifically within adolescent and adult demographics.
I identify as a Latina and offer services in English, Spanish, and Spanglish.
