My Approach to Therapy:
I specialize in treatment of anxiety related disorders (such as generalized anxiety, phobias, social anxiety, agoraphobia, panic disorder, health anxiety); OCD and related disorders; Post traumatic stress disorder; mood disorders; and borderline personality disorder. I provide evidence based treatment including cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention for anxiety and OCD related disorders, and Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma. In addition, I am extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and provide individual therapy and have facilitated skills groups in the past. Mindfulness techniques and Motivational Interviewing are part of my therapeutic processes. I am especially passionate about working with minorities, being a woman of color and an immigrant to the US myself.
