My Approach to Therapy:

I am a practicing psychotherapist specializing in trauma treatment. I am aware of the intersection and impact of systemic structures on mental health and well-being through working in community-based settings with people experiencing homelessness, justice involvement and substance use.

My approach to psychotherapy is an integrative approach of trauma healing modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My work is also guided by social justice and empowerment frameworks, recognizing that individual behavior and experiences cannot be understood without taking into account the larger contexts in which an individual is situated.

My practice is associated with the Critical Therapy Center, a liberation-oriented psychodynamic group practice committed to collective healing. I have offices in Manhattan and Jackson Heights, Queens.
