My Approach to Therapy:

Do you feel anxious in relationships or have a hard time trusting others? Does the world feel overwhelming and unsafe? Do you have complicated or estranged relationships with family members? I specialize in working with individuals healing from controlling or abusive relationships, as well as those who experienced abuse or unmet needs in childhood. I have additional training in working with complex trauma (or C-PTSD) and dissociation and view the impact of racial oppression through this lens.
Maybe you feel like you should be over the things that happened but you still think about it daily. You try to move on but the anxiety, intrusive thoughts/feelings, and just overall feeling of disconnection are a daily reminder that your past still has a hold on you. Therapy can be a space to re-establish a sense of agency and trust in yourself and others.
Whether you've tried therapy before or are just getting started, working with someone new can be overwhelming. We'll go at your pace and listen to your needs. I feel so honored to do the work that I do and welcome any questions you may have about how we might work together. I offer a no-strings-attached consultation and look forward to hearing from you.
